TALTARNI

Established in 1969, Taltarni Vineyards is one of the pioneering wineries of Victoria’s Pyrenees wine region. Owner John Goelet, a direct descendant of the Guestier wine merchant family of Bordeaux, discovered and purchased Taltarni Vineyard after conducting a worldwide search for a site comparable to the great vineyards of Bordeaux.

Initial plantings were of Bordeaux varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Shortly thereafter, Taltarni extended its plantings to encompass Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Shiraz as well as Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, enabling us to now showcase a diverse portfolio of sparkling, red and white wines.

CHATEAU TANUNDA

With over 350 acres of vineyards situated in Tanunda, Bethany, Vine Vale and Eden Valley, Château Tanunda has an enviable array of high-quality fruit to choose from to craft wines of distinction. It is this diversity of ‘terroirs’ which enables us to create our classic and refined house style.

Our wines come from some of the oldest vines in the Barossa, and the world. This includes our 1858 Field Blend, possibly the oldest planting of Grenache, Malbec and Mourvedre in the world, as well as some of the oldest Semillon vines planted in 1850, as well as Shiraz, Grenache and Mourvedre vines planted on their own roots well over 100 years ago, and Riesling vines over 90 years in age.

LANGMEIL BAROSSA

Langmeil is a blend of Barossa’s cultural beginnings and a family’s modern day commitment to world-class, old vine winemaking.

Once a trading village established in 1842, this remarkable place is a captivating pocket of Australia’s wine and vine history that is a must when visiting the Barossa.

Owned by the Lindner family, whose own mark on the Barossa spans six-generations of farming, food, community and wine, Langmeil is renowned for its preservation of old vines and the making of distinguished wines from these cherished sites.

At the pinnacle of its winemaking is The Freedom 1843 Shiraz, made from what is understood to be the world’s oldest surviving shiraz vineyard believed planted in 1843 at the heart of this historical patch of Barossa earth.
